A few months ago I purchased a Varmilo VA87M mechanical keyboard. Recently, I began to observe that the F1 and F2 keys, as well as the F7 through F12 keys, stopped functioning when pressed alone. They still register an F1 press when another key is held down before the F1 press. I’m not sure if this was always the case—I rarely use these keys and only started using them recently for certain applications and games. I checked the registered keystrokes using an online tool, and it consistently produced the same results. It seems like a software issue, since the keys work properly when pressed together, even though I haven’t encountered similar problems elsewhere online. I also noticed some issues with the Fn key mixing, but that’s not the problem I’m facing.

Have you attempted to connect the culprit keyboard to a donor system or laptop and run the keyboard tester again on that device? This is to ensure there isn<|pad|>, and if needed, to check for a faulty switch. It's possible the switches could be damaged. You might consider desoldering them to see if they register on the operating system using a tweezer (to bridge the contacts inside the switch contact points on the keyboard PCB).
