The USB ports ceased functioning following a system restart.
Hello, I'm dealing with an Asus ROG Strix Z270e PC running Windows 11 Pro after a recent update. My USB ports stopped working except for one 3.1 USB-A connection. After reinstalling Windows, the issue remains. Device managers display an exclamation mark for the USB xHCI Compliant Host Controller with error code 10, which prevents it from starting. Even when using the front port, the USB 3.1 doesn't work, though my phone charges properly. It seems my mouse and keyboard aren't recognized by the BIOS except on the red USB-C 3.1 port at the back. Could this be a motherboard issue?
The problem remains within the BIOS settings; was the CMOS reset on the motherboard attempted?
I performed that action, but USB ports remain unavailable. A new error appeared afterward, and the CPU fan speed is now flagged as an issue.
