The USB plastic detached from the device.
Hello everyone, welcome! I'm still getting used to this platform and wondering if it can help me find a solution. A few months back, my PS5 controller fell out of the charger while plugged in. Neither the controller nor the female USB port on my PS5 seemed affected, but I noticed the plastic cover on the USB pin had broken. At first I thought leaving it would be fine, but now I'm concerned about the long-term impact if the pins are damaged. My question is: Can I reattach it using the right adhesive? I only have super glue (uncertain if it works on plastic) and silicone glue (the kind that doesn't require heating). Thanks for your help—I'm eager to hear your thoughts.
Use a small amount of any kind of adhesive to secure the broken plastic piece. Inserting it should work well. Avoid superglue since you won’t have much time, and the pins will secure it without needing long curing.
