While powering up my PC and accessing BIOS, everything functions normally with the keyboard. I’m able to press keys and perform tasks. During boot into the Windows installer, the keyboard becomes unresponsive. I’m uncertain about any other issues since it works in BIOS and the installer launches. If required, I can switch to a different OS like NetBSD, another BSD variant, Solaris, or even Linux—though that seems unusual. I’m also using the official USB installer for 23H2 from the boxed copy, so any problems there could be addressed by flashing it to a separate USB drive. My current specs include: AMD Ryzen 7 7700x, Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE, Gigabyte B650M Gaming Plus Wifi, Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 6400Mhz CL36, Acer Predator GM7000 2tb, onboard graphics (no GPU), Fractal Design Pop Air case, MSI MAG A750GL 750w, and an official Windows 11 USB from the boxed copy.

Review bios configurations to locate USB devices and consider disabling older USB types. Check keyboard preferences for any adjustments.

I don’t think so. I own a few motherboards and need to connect two USB keyboards for installation and use. They’re budget models from brands like Dell and HP.

Actually, I made a mistake because the keyboard functioned all the time. I was attempting to navigate using arrow keys and the Enter key in the Windows installer instead of Tab, Shift-Tab, and Enter. That’s why it happened. I didn’t adjust any BIOS settings.
