Hello,
I'm dealing with a persistent issue that has been bothering me for several days. I've searched extensively online without finding a solution. The problem occurs whenever I use USB headphones—the microphone picks up all the audio output. When communicating via websites or apps like Discord or Facebook, others can hear everything I'm saying.

I've tried updating the drivers and reinstalling them, following all the recommendations from the internet. I even tested three different USB headsets, but they still didn't resolve the issue. It seems the problem might be related to my PC's hardware, possibly the motherboard. I also tried using these headphones on another computer, where they worked perfectly without any issues.

Please help me, as my purchased headphones are not functioning properly now.
Thank you.
P.S.: I previously used 3.5 jack headsets without any problems; only the USB ones had issues.
My PC specifications: Intel i3-9100F, Gigabyte B365 D2V motherboard, Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19044 build 19044.

Have you experimented with various USB headphones? It’s possible the microphone was accidentally selected as an output or there might have been a short in the wiring inside the headphones. Relying on a second USB headphone setup would be inconvenient, as it would require purchasing another device. If you have another computer available, try using the headphones there. To check if software is the problem, plug them into a different system—such as a second computer running a live Linux distribution (like Ubuntu 20.04 or 22.04)—which can be downloaded and booted without installation. For example, Discord works on an Ubuntu DVD, though it may load slowly. You could also burn an Ubuntu 22.04 DVD, boot from it, download Discord, and test it independently (same hardware, but separate configuration).

Headphone or headset models are being created. Are there any audio adapters in use? Do you have any 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) connectors available?
Right-click the tiny speaker icon typically found in the lower right corner of the screen. This action opens a small window with audio settings.
Begin with the Windows troubleshooters; they might identify and resolve issues.
If not, consider other menu options that could open additional windows, tabs, and properties where you can adjust settings.
Take your time changing one setting at a time, noting each adjustment and its location. This helps if you need to revert any modifications later.

Audio connections, especially those using 3.5 mm jacks, rely on TS/TRS (Tip, Ring, Sleeve) standards. While there are common specifications, variations exist and some setups are proprietary.
For more details, refer to:

Check the headset specifications and pinouts carefully.
In case a correction is necessary, you can easily undo changes.

I have tried various USB headphones on my computer, all experiencing the same issue. I also used those exact models on another machine, which worked perfectly. I plan to try Linux and even consider using VMware to install different Windows systems, which seems like a good idea. Thank you for your patience. I will update you if anything changes.
