You have an Advantech SBC PCM9375F with USB pins arranged differently than standard. It seems reversed compared to typical motherboard headers. Someone might know how to adapt it for use as a boot device, especially since your main storage is damaged and you're considering an IDE flash drive. The female connector on the drive makes troubleshooting tricky across systems. Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Consider an option similar to that link: https://www.amazon.com/Cablecc-Female-Co...B081YP2S5R, and then opt for a standard SATA drive.

The documentation for that device includes the USB port that was included by default, which you can typically purchase from platforms like eBay or through authorized manufacturers.

I wasn't expecting that. The SBC is part of a bigger system and wasn't meant for USB use—luckily I managed to boot it. Still, it's hard to grasp why all this industrial equipment costs so much.
