Hi all, it's been a while since I've had to share something here (good news), but I've run into a rather odd and annoying issue:
While working on music production in Cubase, the close-down process froze, so I quit abruptly. Since then, my USB Network Adapter has shown weak signal strength, and whenever the CPU runs demanding tasks—like loading plugins, opening games, or similar activities—the adapter will briefly disconnect.
What I've tried:
- Tested the network adapter on a nearby laptop in the same room; it functions normally there.
- Removed all USB hubs from Device Manager, including hidden ones; no improvement.
- Updated the BIOS; still no change.
- Switched to front and rear ports; the problem persists.
It's also important to mention that I experienced numerous Aura Lighting Sync errors in Event Viewer around the same time. I uninstalled Armoury Crate, but USB behavior remains inconsistent.
In USBDeview, the two problematic devices are clearly marked with pink dots.
Additionally, a music licensing USB dongle called iLok is required to license certain plugins. Even after removing it during working hours, it still caused issues.
Any suggestions or test ideas would be really helpful! Thank you!

Just making a brief note:
- The main problem I’m facing is the USB Wi-Fi adapter struggling with internet connectivity, especially under heavy CPU use. It works perfectly on my nearby laptop in the same room.
Not sure if it’s just a weak USB dongle or something more specific.
I’m planning to get a PCIe WiFi adapter to help stabilize my internet for work, but I’d also like to run some tests on my USB hubs and drivers to confirm everything is functioning properly.
