I own a maximus v formula z77 motherboard. The front USB 3.0 ports are no longer working properly, even after installing new drivers or updating the audio controller. When I connect a USB device, Windows keeps restarting it repeatedly. Please assist me.

It affects only that particular USB device, not all of them. You haven't encountered any issues with other devices either.

the cable is placed correctly but moving it back and forth with drivers doesn't work.
