I recently installed a 750w MSI A750GLPCIE5 PSU for my 3070 and i9 9900KF. The motherboard is an Asrock B365 Phantom Gaming 4. I connected the 24-pin cable, CPU cable, fans, etc. The board lights up when power is applied, and pressing the power button produces a click sound, but no fans spin or any other activity occurs.

I only adjusted the power supply unit enclosure, not the cables themselves. Ensure you verify compatibility before mixing different power supplies.

Used both the 10-pin and 18-pin connectors on the power supply unit for the motherboard cable.

I didn't, I utilized every new cable included with the updated PSU. It seems the microcenter might have caused the faulty PSU.

Have you performed the paperclip test? It seems like a fun check, especially if your earlier power source is still functioning in the project.
