Looking for guidance on this issue. I recently installed new components and now the screen appears distorted when I try to post. During startup, a blue light stays on the motherboard, but it disappears once the screen starts glitching. The manual doesn’t list any light codes, only beeps are mentioned, though there’s no CPU pump sound.

The hardware just installed includes:

- Asus TUF GAMING Z790-plus with Wi-Fi
- Intel i9-12900KF processor
- Crucial pro DDR5 2x 16GB 5600MT/s RAM
- NZXT Kraken 240
- Asiahorse extension cable kit

I’m still using Corsair RM850x and Asus Noctua RTX 3070. I’ve double-checked all connections and even re-seated the RAM in the original slots, but everything seems to work. The GPU fans are functioning normally, and the CPU cooler displays its image correctly.

I haven’t removed any cable extensions yet. Anyone have experienced similar problems or is this a more serious issue? I’m concerned about potential hardware defects—could it be a faulty motherboard or CPU?

Feel free to share any additional details or solutions you’ve tried. (Don’t mind the dust in front fans, the 240mm Noctua fans are in the package 😂)

where precisely are these third-party cables being utilized? and have you attempted operating the system without them?

They are the tan/brown cables shown in the picture, connected to both the atx 12v (with two) and atx power, as well as the GPU. I chose to attempt reseating the CPU, though I was sure it was installed properly the first time. I wanted to check the pins, so I inspected them under bright light. Next, I plan to remove the third-party cables and see how that affects things.
