This question has likely been asked before, but I’m not sure about switching to 32 GB. I mainly use my PC for gaming, not streaming or editing videos. I’m looking for feedback from others who upgraded from 16 to 32 GB and saw any changes, especially in gaming performance.

Certainly. Here’s a revised version:

Absolutely. You won’t regret this at all. Honestly, with the details in your signature, you should have taken action sooner. It really makes a big difference, especially if you often keep browsers running with many tabs open. I upgraded from 16 GB (DDR4 x 3200mhz C16) to 32 GB and it was a huge improvement.

Switching from 16 to 32 GB didn’t boost my frame rate much, except for a few light apps like iCUE, Logitech GHUB, or Discord. For most AAA titles, especially when running at full 1440p, the performance stayed stable. My RAM usage usually stays under 16 GB. But games like Microsoft Flight Simulator can really hog memory—sometimes reaching nearly 25 GB. I’d recommend 32 GB if you play demanding games, as it provides extra space so background apps don’t interfere with the page file and lets you run other tasks. This is especially useful for games that benefit from more resources. You’ll likely need 32 GB eventually, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead. In short, 16 to 32 GB works fine for most gaming now, but having more gives you flexibility and peace of mind for the future.

For gaming? 99% of the time.

Gaining extra memory isn't helpful unless you're nearly out of it.

Most people agree 16 GB works, but 32 GB would be preferable for smoother gaming right now.

You observed that 32 GB provided a smoother experience, with better responsiveness and fewer game stutters compared to lower capacities.

Spends a lot of money if you skip the Adobe suite and 3D tools—just go with it. A 16 GB drive is sufficient for gaming. Games typically need up to 6 gigabytes of RAM, but VRAM increases with higher resolutions and game settings.
