The updated version functions, but I require assistance.
I built the machine using an MSI Mag B660 Tomahawk with DDR4, Wi-Fi, Intel i5 13600KF, and several graphics cards. After disconnecting the SATA drives and installing Windows 10 on the 970 Evo, it finally started. I tried updating drivers, but some didn’t work—especially NVIDIA ones, even though I’m familiar with them. The website listings didn’t match the GPU, and I couldn’t get the second monitor to appear. Steam refused to function properly. After reconnecting the drives, the computer still wouldn’t boot and showed a black screen. The game Lightfall is tomorrow, so I’m hoping it will work in time.
The latest card version seems unlikely to receive updates soon. Some issues with the original drivers have led to a new update, possibly replacing one problem with another. Since you don’t know your driver version, it’s impossible to confirm if an update exists or if reverting is possible. Also, you didn’t specify which other drivers are still outdated. Johnny Five: INPUT! NEED MORE INPUT!
There are roughly a dozen update drivers listed on Nvidia's site, but none appear to work. Plus, I don’t have the NVIDIA tool on my computer.
You’ll likely succeed more if you ensure your drivers and software are fully updated. I recently performed a complete Windows upgrade and had to update to version 21H2 just to enable the integrated Wi-Fi card. Additionally, NVIDIA drivers require a minimum Windows version of 1803 to install properly.
I'll check again this evening, but I attempted a Windows update and it didn't seem to work.
Do you have any knowledge about problems with 13th gen systems and SATA drives? It worked properly when using only NVMe, but issues reappeared after connecting SSD and HDD.
