Hello! I'm working on updating my new PC with an Asus Prime x670-P that uses a Ryzen motherboard. I've set up USB to FAT32, connected it to the motherboard, downloaded the latest BIOS (version 1, not the newer one), extracted the files, and used the rename tool. I placed the cap file on the USB drive and went through the flashing process. After updating, the PC froze, shut down completely, then rebooted with all lights and fans running loudly. When I tried to restart from there, it said safe mode was active but didn't change the BIOS version. Could you help me figure out what might be wrong?

It could mean the downloaded file is damaged. I’d attempt to download it again. The latest version might also help. Occasionally it resolves the issue. There should be many choices available on the thumb drive. These files are compact. You might need to specify the USB port you’re using. Also, there’s a chance the device has an error, but that’s less likely.

I attempted to download again and also tried the latest version, but both gave the same outcome. Although I used the proper USB port, the instructions mention an alternative method—using the flashback device—to update, so I’ll give that a shot next.
