Your 7700hq stopped working properly, it used to run well before overheating around 85°C. No changes were made, but now it caps at 2.8 GHz even under full load, with temperatures in the 70s. Could something have caused this issue?

Is it connected to the power brick? Verify or adjust your Windows power profile.

The update didn't succeed; it appears there was an issue with the latest BIOS, so I rolled it back.

What's going on with the BIOS settings? It seems like you're having trouble reverting them.

If anyone notices this post due to a comparable problem, apply any BIOS update for the Alienware 13R3 will disrupt voltage adjustments and prevent use of XTU or ThrottleStop features. It also raises the default CPU voltage, leading to thermal throttling. Refer to the guide at http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/...ns.829542/ For reverting to BIOS version 1.8.0, you'll regain your undervolt settings. I have done that.
