The TridentZ Neo 3600hz CL 18 isn't operating at its full speed.
Hey guys, Just finished putting together my new rig. First time using AMD over Intel. I'm running into an issue with the memory frequency. Never had any issues with Intel (mobo's) before. It's probably easy to fix, though i've never tampered with any manual bios settings. Here it goes: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro (no wifi!) AMD 5900x CPU TridentZ Neo 3600hz CL18 64gb (2x32gb) Bios version F31o - 12/3/2020 (latest version) - XMP-profile enabled in Bios. No other changes in the Bios. Frequency in Bios shows 2667hz. Frequency in CPU-Z shows the same: Max Bandwith is set to 2666, which is incorrect. Any suggestions how to get the memory to run at 3600hz? Thanks in advance.
Download Aida64, navigate to motherboard -> SPD, capture the complete timings sheet for 3600 profile. Visit BIOS settings to adjust DRAM voltage, frequency, and timings individually. Save your changes and close the program.
We followed the rules and moved the sticks to the correct slots. It worked once we took out the board and cleaned it up. Thanks for the tips, but some of us just can't handle messed-ups hardware.
