Z390 is the main chipset. Honestly, it performs well overall. I’d recommend picking the one with your preferred design or the most affordable option, depending on what’s important to you. Updated: After checking them out, the Aorus looks more powerful in VRM, so that might be my choice.
Aorus is definitely the way to go, as most high-end VRMs are better suited for power-hungry chips, particularly during overclocking.
A bulky BIOS paired with solid power pins will likely perform better for overclocking than a sleek BIOS with decent pins.
It's even worse overall. Within Maximus XI boards, only the Apex offers a VRM that isn't inferior to the Aorus Elite's. If you don't install a VRM fan to manage heat, you're largely limited to Gigabyte (unless you're prepared to spend significantly more).
