I usually choose a trusted brand and then look for the most affordable option. Risking fake products is unlikely with reputable companies. Sandisk has consistently met my expectations. The reason behind the complex calculations seems unnecessary—just decide on the desired size and proceed.

It seems like a compact flash storage device around 8GB, priced near two dollars. However, unless you need a massive capacity, you might not want a full flash drive setup. If that's your case, a Python script could help you figure out the most affordable cost per gigabyte.

I steer clear of them at all costs. I own around 20 of these, but their speed details feel like a cheat for regular users. A better choice would be a small SSD—like 128 GB or whatever capacity suits you—and a standard 2.5" external case. That gives you higher performance and longer life. Skip flash drives; they’re unreliable and often fail.
