Hey guys ! So had problems with mounting my H105 so I'm waiting on spare parts that should arrive soon. The thermal paste was applied but i took the cooling block back off leaving the thermal paste to dry on it. Will thermal paste melt again when the cooling block is on + CPU is working ? Or do i really need to get myself a new tube+ clean it (isoproply alcohol + microvezel cloth) ? PS:I haven't been able to boot system for first time since i had this h105 mounting problem. Thanks in advance !

You must not apply old thermal paste again; it needs to be removed first.

You need to remove the residue and use fresh parts like NT-H1 or Arctic MX4.

It's really inexpensive—just grab it and avoid any hassle later.

Thanks for the prompt responses! Moving forward, I'll proceed with the clean and apply the new version. Expecting a longer wait before completing the build.

It's better to delay and ensure everything is handled correctly—it's a crucial step in the process, and your patience is appreciated.

Consider cleaning the thermal paste and using the Intel stock cooler temporarily until you receive your new paste and H105 replacement parts.

If the stock cooler retains its original compound, it's a solid choice. Just take out any overclocking and adjust the CPU settings back to factory defaults to prevent overheating.
