You're experiencing performance drops in CPU-heavy games despite a strong setup. Your Ryzen 7 5800X3D and GTX 1660 Ti should handle the workload well, but big frame drops suggest potential bottlenecks. Check if your GPU is up to date and ensure your system meets the game's requirements. Consider upgrading RAM or exploring better cooling if needed. Your CPU isn't inherently weak for the GPU, but optimization is key.

It seems your system is probably running a Ryzen processor, especially the first generation which benefited from fast RAM. How does your CPU/GPU performance look during games? Also, what resolution and graphics settings are you using? You mentioned it's likely 1080p medium to high, but I’d like to confirm.

CPU is at full capacity and GPU usage is near 40%. System is running on a HyperX Fury 2666 MZGA. Memory performance is solid.

Considering the Ryzen 7 2700X at around 2700 MHz is a common setup.
