Lately (about two weeks), my computer has been slow to start up into Windows, even though it’s fairly powerful. It has an Intel core i7 3770K, 16GB of 1600 memory, an RTX 3060, and Windows is running on a slow SSD. I didn’t install Windows because the machine was built by an unknown repair shop 14 years ago and I upgraded it myself with the 3060 and a 750-watt power supply. Someone can help improve its speed?
It's unusual, but I can launch Windows in 35 seconds or less even with a downclocked setup (550 MHz, dual cores, hyper-threading active). It might be that some background processes are causing delays. How quickly does it take to reach the desktop while it's still loading?
