Hello, I need to set up a new OBC for my robot. Here’s what I have: motherboard Mitac PH12ADI, CPU intel i13500TE, 512GB NVMe storage, running Ubuntu 20.04 on a USB drive. The BIOS is updated to the latest version. The goal is to install Ubuntu on the NVMe drive, but I’m facing an issue where power cuts interrupt the installation graphics environment. I tried Windows before, but it doesn’t seem to fix the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I encountered problems with Ubuntu 20.04. I resolved them by switching to Lubuntu 22.04. Although it's two years older, the hardware needs are similar because Lubuntu is a lighter version compared to regular Ubuntu. Good luck!

Thank you for your feedback. Based on what I see, Lubuntu shares the same foundation as Ubuntu and provides efficient lightweight desktop visuals. This suggests the issue might be related to graphics settings rather than a core problem. The UHD770 graphics card should be capable of supporting Ubuntu's desktop environment.

It appears the power issue was related to the supply unit. I initially connected the MoBo to a lab PSU (AX-3010H) via the ATX-4 input, setting 12V and 7A. The observed behavior matched earlier reports; the motherboard drew no more than 4A. Switching to a different PSU and using MasterWatt Lite 600W resolved the problem.
