My PC struggles with more than one monitor using DP. I've tested various cables and rearranged connections, but the issue persists. The DP port on my 3070 seems fine, and both monitor ports are functional. I can see the monitors but they appear inactive. I have three displays; only one DP and one HDMI work, while the third doesn't. I also experimented with one DP and two HDMI connections, which succeeded. I tried two DP and one HDMI, but that failed. My system specs are: American Megatrends BIOS 0704, Windows 10.0.19041, 64-bit Intel Core i9-10850K, 3.6GHz LGA1200, HyperX Fury DDR4 3600MHz, 32GB RAM, 2x16GB ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 DUAL OC, WD Black SN750 1TB M.2 SSD, and a 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD Corsair TX750M with 750W PSU.
The DP port in my 3070 is connected correctly? The typical concerns are: Did you power off and restart everything, including the monitors? Have you installed the latest video drivers? Which monitors are you using? Some might not work with the card over DP.
All cards link to 3070. To fix it, I need one DP and two HDMI ports. I’m planning to use two DPs and one HDMI. I’ve tried disconnecting everything, restarting, swapping cables between monitors, and updating drivers multiple times. My setup includes two VG248 units and an unknown monitor. I want both VG248 units to have a DP connection while the old monitor uses HDMI.
There are additional concerns about the faulty DisplayPort connection on the RTX 3070. Reversing the monitor setup can affect functionality.
I've attempted to rearrange and alter monitors, cables, and connections between ports. Even when switching to the opposite port, it doesn't resolve the issue. This suggests the problem isn't with a single faulty port. Both ports function individually, but only one operates correctly when both DP ports are active.
