I just set up Lubuntu on my old A900 Presario. The system kept showing a flip_done error and booting took forever. I added some kernel options to fix it. Video settings worked perfectly, but after restarting twice, the mouse would freeze during login. I suspect driver issues are the problem. My mouse isn’t responding, and even Ctrl+Alt+T didn’t help. I also installed XRDP remotely from another machine, and the issue started then. Edit 2: I can’t remove XRDP to test because the mouse won’t work either. Updated July 26, 2019 by Saksham

Some people claim a900 Presario can run Ubuntu, but lately I've noticed many complaints about Lubuntu freezing. I usually advise avoiding Lubuntu and opting for Ubuntu instead, or Xubuntu if needed. My experience has shown Lubuntu consistently underperforms.

The instruction asks whether disabling the kernel boot parameter improves performance. It notes difficulty changing it due to a frozen mouse and suggests using Ctrl+Alt+F2 from the terminal. It also requests details on where the information came from and the specific error message encountered.

Issue with booting slowly due to DRM and KMS helper errors. Keyboard functionality appears unresponsive. Network switch controls seem altered.

If you can't type anything, it seems you might need to restart the installation.

I don't believe I activated it. I've changed to Xubuntu, and it's now functioning properly.
