Hello everyone - I've been having trouble factory resetting my PC for some time now. I've tried all the usual methods, including using the Windows tool, booting in safe mode, and more. Every attempt results in an error. I was planning to sell it, but now it's causing a blue screen and I'm stuck trying to fix it. My question is, can anyone help me reset the computer while it's showing the blue screen?

The process of resetting via the blue screen is also giving me trouble. I considered booting from a USB with a Windows installer, but I downloaded the Windows 11 media and ran into another error about system requirements. It feels like a risky move, so I'm planning to try it again with Windows 10 install media soon. I don't mind losing any files, so in the worst case, I'll just replace the drives and get new ones.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to wipe the drives from the blue screen, that would be really helpful.

You are having a very specific problem and not giving much details. "I get blue screens and errors" is not enough. What are the errors? When do the blue screens happen exactly? Are you able to boot to Windows or do you systematically get the blue screen even before reaching the login screen?
And we need to know more about your computer. Is it a laptop or a desktop? How old is it? What are the specs?
If the computer is very old you won't be able to install Windows 11. If it keeps crashing while loading Windows it's likely a drive problem. You can try a fresh install of Windows 10 and if it doesn't work then you might need to replace the drive.

Can you start the Windows installation media? Is the computer operating smoothly with the Windows installation system (a Windows RE system)? If it isn't running stably, there may be a hardware issue. From what you're saying, a hardware problem seems most probable.

The most effective way to perform a forced wipe is by booting from external media such as a USB drive running Windows or a disk wipe tool, and then employing diskpart or a specialized wiping utility to completely clear the drives.
