You've just set up the right components and operating system on your laptop. Now you're facing a new issue—your machine won't start at all. It displays an error message and doesn't respond to any input. You can access the GRUB menu, but not the main OS.

Consider setting acpi_backlight=vendor in the kernel settings. Adjust grub accordingly if possible. For more details, see the Arch Wiki on backlight issues.

Yeah, I found that fix. I've got everything set up now. It'll boot up and shut down properly, but the error on amdgpu still flashes for a moment. I did get a weird message saying the kernel was unsupported and I needed to update, despite having just updated everything.
