I handle games well on my PC, but opening Steam causes it to shut down. The system runs an Intel i7-10700 with 10700 MHz, a 5700XT motherboard, and 16 GB RAM. I own this machine for about two years, purchased from CyberPower PC. I’ve run stress tests on the CPU and GPU without issues, and temperatures stayed normal when shutting down. Please help!

It seems the issue appears only when opening Steam. Try removing and readding Steam. Also, look into the Event Viewer logs for any shutdown errors.

The event viewer showed a kernel error for event 41 after uninstalling and reinstalling it.

It is usually due to problems with the driver. Consider updating your drivers.

This was my first idea too, but everyone's vehicles are current. It's really confusing for me.

Consider turning off MultiPlane Overlay. It may resolve the crash issue. Run an SFC/SCAN check as well.

Remove and reinstall the drivers carefully. Avoid installing beta or optional drivers.

They both attempted to run Steam, then Farming Simulator 22 for four hours. After that, they tried to launch Steam again, but the PC shut down.
