I'm setting up a PC for a friend and after assembling the CPU fan, it started turning on but the GPU fan was spinning yet no output appeared on the screen. I've already changed the RAM and GPU, but the issue persists.
It might seem odd, but sometimes the monitor connects directly to the graphics card instead of the motherboard.
Just some things to try / check: 1. Is the monitor cable in the gpu and not the motherboard? 2. Did you wait long enough? (Memory training for 1st completed post can take up to several minutes, which if waiting for a post/bios screen can feel like eternity)
@Whiro Confirmed I have it on my GPU. @Bartholomew Only waited roughly 30 seconds—it was sufficient for my previous PC. I'll give it a try. @Blasty Blosty Uncertain, it seems to be the standard BIOS from the MoBo. Given the age of the hardware, I assumed it would work fine.
The 5600 was released following the launch of this board, and the 5000 series might require a BIOS update for compatibility with the motherboard. Have you got a 2000/3000 series CPU available for testing? Edit: Please try this once you've checked if waiting helps.
