This situation seems confusing. It happened once without any clear cause, and again today but without using Safe Mode. I was just playing games and wasting time when my screen and sound stopped working. The most recent time it occurred, all my devices were connected—keyboard, mouse, monitor—and everything failed. Lights went out, and the monitor couldn’t detect anything. I had to force shut down the PC by pressing the power button, but only once. When it started in Safe Mode, none of my devices connected after a few attempts, except the computer itself was on. After some time, the screen said “The system has POSTed in Safe Mode,” which I’d never seen before. I went back to the BIOS and didn’t change anything because I’m not familiar with it. Eventually, the PC booted up normally after an update. If you need more details, just let me know—I’m not sure what steps are needed to fix this.
