It seems the memory controller isn't responding well to the Hynix chips. I'm not very familiar with these components or Zen2. A safer approach might be to increase the CAS latency to around 18, though this is speculative. Another test could involve turning off XMP, setting the voltage manually at 1.35 V and achieving a speed of 3600 MT/s, which would try the loosest timings available. Raising the controller voltage might help, but because I'm new to Zen2, I'll defer that suggestion to someone more experienced.
From what I've seen at this forum, this particular kit with 16-19-19 timings never seems to play well. Yeah, the B-Die is more expensive, but theres a good reason for it.
