The Strix 1070ti fails to power on.

Been using my PC for two years now. Yesterday I powered it on and it didn’t show anything. Tried the R9 280X in the same setup and it worked. Should I attempt DDU or is there a chance it’s faulty?

Ensure both GPUs are installed. Attach the monitor at 280x resolution. Verify the device manager reports active status.

Both devices are connected, but the 1070ti isn't showing up in the display adapters. I'm checking the DDU.

I tried, but it doesn't work. It isn't recognized in either system and the BIOS states only one PCIe slot is active while both GPUs are present. It's not being detected by any of them, and I'm unsure if the GPU is damaged.

Yes, it is possible. You might want to clean it well, reapply paste, and wipe the PICE pins with a gum eraser before trying again. Check for any damage while you work. If nothing helps and there are no burnt components, chips, or blown capacitors, consider baking the card.

Baking is just a quick fix, it won’t last long. I don’t think sending it to a repair shop is a good idea. I should have noted that fans spin and RGB functions work, which is odd. I’ll try to fix it up.

I've noticed beked cards have been effective for many years, yet some have only shown results for a short time or not at all. It really depends on the specific problem you're facing.

unusual for the 10 series chips to malfunction is rare; more often it's a lack of space on the card that leads to the PCIe rail fuse blowing. Inspect the card for any visible damage—professional repair services can assist if needed.
