A few days ago, my antivirus (kaspersky) suddenly showed a message saying my license was canceled with no explanation. I checked and confirmed it was indeed canceled without reason. I decided to uninstall it and install a different one (Norton). After that, every time I shut down the PC, it would activate automatically within 3-5 minutes. This was unusual for me. What makes it even more strange is that when I force-closed the computer by holding the power button for several seconds, it wouldn’t activate at all. I attempted to delete the new antivirus, but the issue persisted. Any suggestions? I’m really confused.

Kaspersky faced a ban in the US in September 2024 after being detected with spying activity. It can no longer sell or update its product in the United States. Norton isn't a product I would suggest, but it's not entirely responsible for the problem you're experiencing. You might have an issue with a system that prevents the PC from running fully, possibly entering a sleep or suspended state and then waking up. It could also be a coincidence that another program is having trouble at the same time. Check for unusual processes, ensure Norton is uninstalled, and if you're on Windows 10 or 11, consider re-enabling Defender and performing an online scan if possible.

Restart the system by performing a fresh installation—clearly erase the storage after backing up your files, and then proceed with the setup.
