I don’t understand which programs were on my C drive since I didn’t back them up. Why do I sometimes act so foolish?

I understand the situation. At least steam handles backups well. I’ve reached a point where every time I install a new OS, I either buy another drive or reduce the existing partition and create another one. That’s why I still keep my Windows 7 OS from years ago and haven’t touched it. But once it disappears, I’ll need something from it...

\. All my crucial files are on D:\ and everything else, including games and personal items, is stored in F:\. If I have to reinstall everything, I’d lose just my antivirus and a few other things I can recover with Ninite.

I understand that feeling of being overwhelmed by all those crucial documents. But it's not only your experience.

Some of those annoying programs automatically jump to C: without letting you choose the "custom" installation settings, just moving straight there.

these are the kinds of programs I don’t install, but if I do, they might be worth it later. I’ll get them then, lol.
