I own a Steelseries Arctis 3 that has been behaving oddly since purchase. Recently, it ceased functioning properly. When connected to the 3.5 mm jack, it detects a device is plugged in, but the interface only shows speakers in all sound settings and no headset option. This issue occurred even when the headset was functional with speakers selected. (No problems with jack or headset individually, and everything works separately). I've checked all menus and there are no disabled devices listed.

During playback, the speaker bar appears but produces no sound through the headset. I’ve searched online for solutions but found no instructions that resolve this. There are reports of microphone issues online, but the entire setup isn’t working now (previously it did). The headset only connects via jack and lacks Bluetooth functionality. Also, there seems to be no compatible software from Steelseries for this model.

I have the right drivers installed and am using Windows 10 on an ASUS Zenbook. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Check if the headset is connected to your phone or another system.
If a BIOS update for the ZenBook is available, apply it.
Which specific ZenBook model are you operating?
