Almost a year ago I had bought a SteelSeries Arctis 5 headphone. The 5 comes with a pretty long cable, ( I think almost 3 meters long). Any normal person would think that the cable is good and that it is some kind of premium quality, "special" long cable, but that is not the case at all. The cable that I got torn apart and got unusable after a few weeks and I had to order another one. I have tried to get some help on their Reddit, "unfortunately" it got removed for no reason by one of the moderators. The Images below are real. If you want to buy a new cable, you have to at least spend 10 euros on the pack. Although the cable of the Arctis 5 is much worse than horrible, the headphone it self is great. It has a good mic, and beautiful LED lights. Just to be clear I did use the cables as it was intended to be. I did not stretch or did anything else with it. UPDATE: The cable that I bought a few months ago torn apart, not as much as the last one, but it still did.

The Arctis 3 cable has minor tears near the 3.5mm section. It's been this way for about a year, but the damage hasn't increased since I wrapped it with heat shrink tubing. Consider replacing the cable and testing it on areas prone to bending. Avoid placing it under furniture or other objects.

I face the same issue, but now only one cup is working. I’m considering switching to G Pro Xs. It’s really disappointing for a headset that cost $140 here in Australia.
