I think the system needs at least 16GB. It seems like there might be an issue with the connection, but it looks like EA is secretly supporting Intel and Samsung—those companies produce the flash chips used in DIMMS. Samsung isn't the sole manufacturer of RAM flash chips. I've noticed more Micron and Hynix RAM products than Samsung, particularly from Micron.
