This problem has persisted for two years. I've attempted all possible fixes except changing the format, which I'm not keen on doing. Now I'm reaching out to see if anyone can help unravel this issue. After extensive searches, I found that using VMware seems to interfere with Spotify links—my browser blocks them due to an invalid SSL certificate. Even ignoring the warning or clearing the cache doesn't resolve it. I've tried exporting the certificate and adding it to Windows Trusted Root Authority, but nothing works. VMware support seems limited to enterprise clients, and I'm running out of options.

VMWare inserts a few entries into your %windir%\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file. Remove the comments and see if the problem resolves.

Consider updating your DNS settings to public providers such as Google or Cloudflare.

Wow, it's odd considering those links seem to point to VMware resources, though I'm happy it functioned!

It’s possible to delete that certificate because it’s no longer valid. Navigate to Internet Options, then Content, and locate the VMware certificate to remove it.
