The SSD is not working, but there might be a possibility to recover your own data.
I encountered an issue during startup from Dell’s pre-boot performance check. The hard drive displayed an incorrect status, warning me it was read-only with no space available. Windows booted normally, but I found 600GB free on my SSD and ample space on my HDD. Unfortunately, the error message didn’t clearly indicate which drive was affected. After a second attempt, the system crashed again. I installed a USB case for my SSD to bypass the HDD temporarily, allowing me to access files afterward. Once the drive was removed and reinserted, Windows recognized it properly. When trying to copy data or open properties, the drive would unmount and disappear from view until the USB was swapped out. I’m seeking advice on possible fixes, as data recovery tools seem unreliable and I’m hesitant about sending files to a center due to security concerns. Also, I wanted to share that when my RTX card launched, I chose a prebuilt one with an Aurora R12 Alienware and an RTX3090. It seemed the graphics card was placed directly over the SSD slot, close to the vents. I’m unsure if this caused overheating or if it was related to heavy recording for my YouTube project. Goodbye.
