I'm really frustrated with this situation, someone please assist me if you have any suggestions... I just received the alienware 38" ultrawide monitor recently, my PC is almost brand new (13700k with EVGA 3070, everything new and no mining), but I'm still facing problems. On Windows 10, I keep having issues with sleep mode. It won't fully enter sleep—monitor stays on even though it shows a dark black color—or sometimes it does enter sleep correctly, but only occasionally, or maybe just by chance. Recently, I experienced another odd behavior: the monitor attempts to switch into sleep mode, but instead of doing so, it blinks every five seconds while my keyboard and mouse LEDs flash every two seconds, as if trying to wake up or enter sleep, but failing completely. Then, when I try to wake it from sleep, hitting keys, moving the mouse, or pressing Win+CTRL+SHIFT+B doesn't work. I couldn't see any menu options in the NVIDIA control panel either; the G-Sync settings disappeared after a reboot and reappeared within a couple days.
Additionally, when working on Photoshop, if G-Sync is enabled, my mouse lags strangely when hovering over different areas of the interface, like switching from the color picker to the workspace or certain panels.
I've already tried updating the NVIDIA driver and using different cables—HDMI up to 85Hz, DisplayPort cable causing fast dots if not set to 144Hz—but nothing seems to resolve this. I'm also reaching out to DELL for help, but their support is slow and unhelpful.
Could you give me any advice?
