The shutdown, sleep, hibernate, and restart commands aren't functioning properly.
Hello everyone, I’m facing this problem after setting up Debian alongside Windows 10. Every time I try to shut down, the power options take me straight to the login screen, almost like closing a session. When I click them, the screen goes black—similar to a shutdown—and the monitor shows no signal for a few seconds before the login appears. The computer doesn’t actually turn off; I have to keep the power button pressed manually.
Using the command prompts functions properly. You can execute shutdown commands and run sfc /scannow as an administrator to check for issues.
