Hello, I own a Surface Laptop 4 that occasionally freezes, sometimes triggering BSODs, other times without any issues—only when connected to a power source. When using battery power, the problem disappears. After several checks with WhoCrashed, I learned crashes might stem from a driver issue or a hardware fault, possibly related to overheating. However, tests suggest heat isn't the main cause: lowering CPU power limits didn’t fix it, and cleaning the fans helped but didn’t resolve the issue. A cooling pad from Kootech worked well, and monitoring showed the CPU reaching 94°C, which is close to the processor's max of 110°C. When plugged in but not in use, crashes still happen less frequently. I suspect a driver problem rather than overheating or power supply issues. For a "basic and safe" power management driver, you can install it, or you might need to reinstall Windows 11 entirely.

Just for the record in case someone else has the same problem and stumble upon this post : I even tried to charge the laptop through the USB-C port, the laptop does charge but it does crash all the same while charging.
