Hi everyone, I bought my ASUS ROG Strix G16 about three weeks ago and had a weird problem today when trying to change the brightness. I have two adapters that are still new: one is Intel UHD Graphics and the other is NVIDIA GeForce 4070 GPU. When I pressed the up and down buttons on my screen, a little light popped up on the Windows 11 display, but the actual brightness didn't go anywhere. I thought this happened before since buying it, but restarting fixed it once, and then troubleshooting made it work again today. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a big issue? Not really sure what to do. It seems like maybe it's just a temporary glitch instead of something broken in the hardware. Thanks for your help.

I had a screen glitch after changing from a slow 60Hz panel to a fast 120Hz one on my old 2017 gaming PC, the Predator Helios 300.

Thanks so much. That really calmed my worries because I was worried at first. But it actually makes perfect sense since the light went off while it was asleep, then I turned it on again. It changed from 240 hertz to 60 hertz and then I put it back in place.

Yep, and some laptops with Nvidia's Optimus technology can get stuck when moving between different screen refresh rates. I've heard that from people too. But I don't know what's going on today... Hmmmhhhh...

To me, modern tech is way too clever, and sometimes things just break down or act weird for half the time!
