The screen in Legion 7 is blacked out and won't turn on, and the BIOS isn't reachable.
I possess a Legion 7 Gen 6 AMD laptop. At first this morning I switched it to hybrid mode and turned off the dGPU before sealing the case and leaving it on. When I came back later, the logo was still flashing blue, suggesting it was probably in standby. But after waiting ten minutes for the screen to activate, nothing occurred.
To fix it I tried a hard restart, but now the boot logo is missing entirely. I can't toggle between power settings, and the Caps Lock and Num Lock keys aren't working.
I also attempted to enter BIOS by following instructions, though I think the system isn't loading properly because it doesn't restart after the process.
This machine is only six months old, but I haven't had any warranty coverage since it's an older model.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Ensure your laptop is powered off before proceeding. Unplug it from the wall, take it apart, and detach the internal battery. If the RAM isn't soldered to the motherboard, remove it as well. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
While the RAM is removed, use an eraser to carefully clean the gold contacts on the sticks. Clear any residue from the eraser, then reinsert them into the laptop. Attempt to restart the laptop using the power brick (with the battery disconnected).
