The Samsung G9 prevents Windows from entering standby mode.
Hello there. After spending more than a year trying, I believe you're my best chance to fix this. My Samsung C49RG90SSUXEN monitor is linked through DisplayPort to my PC. When the PC attempts to enter standby, the monitor shuts off and back on again, just like Windows. This keeps it from ever truly entering standby, gradually damaging the display. I removed all USB devices and turned off USB power-saving settings in Device Manager. Eventually, disconnecting the Samsung monitor resolved the issue. I have two monitors, a touch panel via DVI, and the Samsung model via DP. Leaving the DVI connection works fine, but connecting only the Samsung one breaks functionality. System Info: Asus GTX970 Strix CPU Intel I7 4790k, Asus Z97 Pro Wifi AC. I updated Windows and Nvidia drivers, and the monitor’s firmware is current. I don’t use a USB hub on the monitor. I reached out to Samsung Support, but they couldn’t assist either. I tested all DP versions in the OSD, disabled input switching, tried DP2 on the monitor, disabled ECO timers, updated the DP firmware via the Nvidia tool here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/nv-...pdate-x64/. I’ve attached a video of the problem. Maybe someone has a solution... If you missed anything, just let me know. Thank you! samsungdisplayerror.mp4
Tested it recently. Results show unusual visual issues upon boot and fails to resolve the standby issue, unfortunately.
