Both 1st Gen and 2nd Gen Ryzen models are now quite forgiving regarding memory, thanks to the AGESA BIOS updates we've received over the past year.
Samsung B-Die offers the best compatibility at high speeds. If you can secure it, it's a clear choice. Otherwise, alternatives like C-Die, Hynix, or Micron work well in most cases. I suggest checking your motherboard memory QVL list for options.

The 2000 series processors using 400 series boards are significantly more reliable compared to earlier models.

In fact, both the first and second generation Ryzen models now handle memory very well, thanks to all the AGESA BIOS updates we've received over the past year.

Otherwise, if B-Die is too costly or unavailable, opting for alternatives like C-Die, Hynix, or Micron works just fine in most cases. I suggest checking your motherboard's memory QVL list for suitable options.
