Assisting my friend in purchasing a PC, I ended up choosing a 3080 with either a Ryzen 7 5700X or 5800X. I wanted to gather some feedback to ensure it wouldn’t create any performance issues during gaming.

Bottlenecks appear in any situation with whatever part you use. A 5700/5800x works well for the 3080, though a top CPU could offer even better results. I own a 5800X and a 3070, and I’m completely satisfied with this setup.

I understand a slowdown might occur somewhere, but I just wanted to confirm it wasn't the CPU, since that could really impact performance.

5800X offers a solid and powerful processor. You're all set to proceed. Increased resolution typically reduces CPU load and consumption.

It varies based on the game's resolution and configuration. Using DLSS at high settings can lower GPU usage, while keeping CPU load manageable. With a 13600K and 2080Ti, you see better performance in some DLSS-enabled titles.

5800x3d is preferable. Ensure the GPU remains reliable over time. CPU demands may vary unexpectedly, and bottlenecks are usually harder to identify.
