I recently switched from an Intel i5 4th gen to the 2700x. Currently, I'm using the built-in cooler and it's running a bit warm, but not excessively. During idle, it's around 39-50 degrees, and 65-75/77 during gameplay in Hitman 2. After about 10 minutes of AIDA, it drops to 67 after loading. I'm concerned about my stock temperatures since they quickly rise to 50 and then fall back to 40. This has forced me to create a custom cooler curve because the cooler reacts abruptly whenever I load new content. Additionally, my case has poor airflow.
