The highest single-core gain you'll typically achieve is at 4.6. At 3733MHz it may not outperform 3600MHz unless you also adjust the clock speed to align and maintain a 1:1 ratio.

It's not accurate to say so. The 5000 series should generally achieve the advertised single core boost more smoothly. This is supported by my own testing on a 5800X and other reviews. Of course, it does depend on your silicon selection and operating temperatures—higher core temps usually reduce the boost frequency. What method you use matters; Task Manager can be misleading as it averages across all cores and often gives incorrect results. Consider using HWinfo64 for more accurate measurements.

I noticed that turning on Asus Performance Boost in BIOS maximizes the cores to their advertised peak clock speed. With Precision Boost, you reach up to 4.75ghz, whereas just activating Asus Performance Boost in BIOS gives around 4.6ghz. Please keep in mind to run a full core stress test; under these conditions, the maximum achievable is about 4.45ghz for all cores.

Max CPU boost is capped at +200 Hz as per the guide. I've adjusted it to 200 but it still stays below 4500 MHz during most stress tests. On some Ryzen 5 models, it briefly exceeded stock boost speeds. A few tests let it run higher for short periods. For stress tests or benchmarks like Cinebench, it should reach full boost until power or temperature limits are hit.

Current defaults restrict performance to about 4.2–4.4GHz, not the desired 4.6GHz. It seems a reset or replacement might be necessary.
