Hello everyone, thank you again. A friend asked if the Ryzen 2700 (non X) could bottleneck a 3060 with 12GB RAM or if he should upgrade. I haven’t kept up with GPUxCPU updates, so I’m unsure. Should I expect the 2700 to fully utilize the 3060? Someone suggested the Ryzen 5600 is a good budget choice for this setup. Would it be worth purchasing it? For reference, check the processors comparison here: https://www.amd.com/en/products/specific...7661,11831. Appreciate your time and advice.

A 2700 won't completely disable a 3060. It's not the perfect CPU combo, but the gap won't be noticeable. However, it really depends on your games. 720p at low settings might cause issues, while 4K at high settings will show GPU limitations.

You should be okay with 1440p, but 1080p might slow things down unless you have plenty of memory.

1080p a bit 1440p usually works, around 95% of the time. 4K isn't that reliable. 8K is not great either.
