The Ryzen 1800X cannot apply an XMP profile.
Hello,
my setup includes:
AMD Ryzen 7 1800X
Gigabyte GA-AX370-GAMING K7
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4, 32GB 3000MHz, CL15 - 2x16GB
I have overclocked the CPU to around 4.0Ghz but cannot apply an XMP profile, even at 2400Mhz.
The PC fails to boot when I enable the XMP profile.
If running stock speeds are available, they may be able to configure the XMP profile.
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 RAM offers 32GB capacity with two 16GB modules, running at 3000MHz and featuring a CL15 rating (CMK32GX4M2B3000C15).
I did that. On Corsair site there is Tested Latency: 15-17-17-35 What's first value, or one from mid? Shouldn't be five? I set 1.35V and 2666Mhz, while xmp was disabled. PC booted differently - like 5-6 times then successfully loaded. It's running on 1.35V but still 2133mhz.

This seems to be a bios issue across all boards right now and they're working on it. Some people are managing to hit 2933mhz or more, while others like me can't get past 2133mhz. We just have to wait for the fixes. Boards were released with a lot of beta versions, so no one was prepared for the high demand for RyZen. That's why half the boards are still in pre-order or out of stock.
The fact that AMD released the chips a week early didn't help much. However, AMD is focusing on AGENSA codes and memory support up to 3600mhz. We should see some updates in April.
I managed to get mine to boot by setting the XMP profile to 1 in the bios, adjusting the speed to 2666mhz, voltage and timings on auto. I also needed a slight increase in Dynamic SoC voltage - I added +0.090v, which brought it up to about 1.008v total. I never let it exceed 1.2v. After flashing the latest F3 beta bios, I think something else updated at the same time and I can't reach those speeds anymore. Back flashing doesn't work either. It looks like the changes in the last beta bios aren't being applied back to the current version, maybe a chipset update is needed.
