When I record with obs, my footage appears grainy. It could be related to my configuration or something else. I'm not entirely sure. Here are my settings: x264 Quality Balance= 10 Max Bitrate=3000 1920x1080 (no downscaling) 30fps Multithreaded Optimization, process priority class= main x264 cpu preset=fast Encoding Profile=high use of cfr I included screenshots showing the recording quality.

I've noticed GTA IV Recorded in this way before. Increasing the bitrate helps with streaming on Twitch—I set it to 3500 for live, and 5000 when recording.

Only sending data to the local drive? The 3K bitrate is significantly too low. Increase it to around 17-18K.

Your bitrate is low—record at 20-30Mbps for better quality instead of 3Mbps.

The ideal bitrate depends on the platform and content, but generally ranges from 5 to 15 Mbps for smooth streaming.

Streaming on Twitch requires up to 3500Mbps, so ensure your CBR is adequate.

Twitch supports a maximum of 3.5K. I’m not sure about other platforms such as Hitbox or Ustream. Bitrate also varies based on your upload quality. If you have around 10-15 uploads and are comfortable streaming at 3.5K, the lower your upload size, the smaller your bitrate needs to be.

Keep CBR active during streaming; use a bitrate of 3500 for recordings, aiming for a significantly higher rate.
